Went to the National Cathedral this afternoon with some friends and toured around the garden (most of which was dormant, but there were some buds). On the way out, stopped by their greenhouse and purchased one small basil and one small rosemary plant to grow indoors.
That's one off my list!

Hey, I'm intrigued by your juxtaposition of "culinary" and "linguist".
I googled "linguistics restaurant", and yours is the first site that popped up. I'm interested in doing some research on Montreal's restaurant-industry language from a sociolinguistic perspective, and was wondering if you ever heard of any such studies.
